We have great pleasure in inviting you to join colleagues at the all new, highly interactive annual conference - Issues & Answers in Primary Care Today – CVplus: Because CVD is never alone

Now in its ninth year, Issues & Answers is an annual conference for primary care professionals dealing with the management of cardiovascular disease (CVD) patients as seen on a daily basis. This year the theme will focus on CVD patients with co-morbidities and other complications. The Expert Panel will take participants through a highly interactive journey of learning, taking real life patient case studies, examining the evidence, looking at current guidance and discussing how to improve patient outcomes with top tips and key messages from the experts.

And new for 2020, the event will be held at the Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel & Conference Venue in Leicestershire, 20-21 November. The meeting brings together the whole primary care team to hear and learn from an inspirational programme in an informal environment with lots of opportunity to network and share best practice with colleagues. There are free places available for early bookings made before 1st June 2020 saving £50. The meeting represents great value for 1.5 days of practical education plus there are 9 CPD points to collect.

How is the learning structured?

Delegates will become participants in workshop style sessions rather than attend lectures. Within each session, through engagement with the faculty and speakers, we will encourage group discussions between participants in a round table layout using keypads to highlight the thoughts and consensus of the room. The programme will offer:

  • Highly interactive, case-study led plenary sessions
  • Multiple small workshops with experts answering critical issues
  • Quickfire sessions exchanging experiences
  • Satellite symposia

Unlike other conferences there are no attendees – only participants

What topics are included?

Using real life CVD patient case studies to review the evidence, discussing the treatment and management process then finishing with top tips and key messages, the programme will include:

  • Diabetes

  • Chronic kidney disease

  • Hypertension

  • Chronic liver disease

  • Mental illness including depression, anxiety and dementia

  • Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

  • Cancer

  • Hormonal conditions in men and women

As always we will promote best practice in a friendly but informal setting, developing our Issues & Answers community network.

How valuable is the conference?

97% of delegates would attend again & 95% rated the education as excellent and highly relevant to their daily practice
